Spotted - Santa in Oz before December 25! We pinned him down and had him spill all his red-suit secrets.
KZ: What do you think of Christmas in Australia so far?
Santa: HOT. I am sweating in my suit. I'm used the north pole!
KZ: Would you ever ditch a White Christmas to celebrate in the sun?
Santa: No. I'd rather have snow because it is much more cosy, everybody cuddles up to the fire place and in Australia it is MUCH too hot for a fire place! I like sunshine... but not for always.
KZ: You're an epically hard worker. When do you finally take your hat off and celebrate Christmas?
Santa: New Year's Eve. We get all the elves together, all the reindeers and have special drinks and food. After that we start immediately with Christmas preparing for 2012.
KZ: What will be under the tree for Mrs Claus this year?
Santa: I can't tell you that! She always listens to everything I say! If I tell you now she will know what she will get... so I can't tell you.
KZ: Do you have any pranksters in Santa's workshop?
Santa: Yes. There is one elf, a very naughtly elf who plays a lot of tricks... but he is very funny so I let him do it every time he wants.
KZ: Do you ever prank anyone?
Santa: No!
KZ: So, your sleigh... is it really just reindeer powered or is there a secret turbo engine in there?
Santa: Yes, you're onto the secret. I'll tell you now. The reindeer will get tired in a while, so we have a little booster at the back of the sleigh. So it's a little bit magic and a little bit reindeer.
KZ: What snack should we leave out for you this year?
Santa: Chocolate milk, with a little bit of whipped cream on it, that's the best for Santa.
