HINTS AND TIPS
- Keep moving, keep shooting. You're finger shouldn't leave the CTRL button, and you should always keep zipping between alien fights, space platforms, meteroids and lazer fire!
- Move forward. Hanging back leaves you with no room to move especially when you miss an enemy and their line of fire gives you no room to manoeuvre. This tip also helps with the next one...
- Get them before they get you, and get them quickly. If you get them before they begin shooting, there'll be less lazers flying around the play area for you to avoid.
- Get the alien fighters who are harder to destroy or who shoot the most lazers or missiles first and get the easy cannon fodder second. Go for the ships that require multiple hits to go down over one shot enemies.
- If you can't fight them, avoid them. If you don't have a powered up lazer, or even if you do (especially in the later levels) you won't be able to shoot all the enemies on screen all of the time. The best thing to do is to just fly around them as only the harder enemies can shoot at you once you've passed them (and that's why they must be targeted first.)
- Bosses have patterns that you can use to eliminate them. When fighting an enemy boss, first shoot the boss then fly to some space, find the gap in the lazers that the boss shoots then fly around the lazers through that gap and hit the boss again. Use the sound to help you figure out the opportunities. Later bosses shoot missiles that are faster than lazers directly at you in bursts of three or five. Wait for the missiles to be fired while avoiding the bosses other lazers and then go in to hit the boss.
- Don't die!!! This may seem obvious, but once you get a hang of the game, in earlier levels if you don't die, you can stock up on lives. You will need them when you progress to the harder areas.
