While most superheroes are born or have powers thrust upon them, Tony Stark builds a suit after being injured by a massive blow from a weapon. This wealthy genius inventor arms the suit with stacks of Stark technology devices to help him fight crime.
STARK STRUCTURE!
The game is set up as a series of missions across a four by four kilometre wide gaming space. As you progress thru the game, your character goes thru 'Iron Man Evolution' where systems upgrade as you unlock more functions. You can configure Iron Man to be the type of superhero you want him to be. How you configure him affects how the missions play out.
BATTLE BONUS
Intense speed means that a big playing field and huge surfaces had to be created to take advantage of Iron Man's abilities. The game takes you thru the three suit stages - from Mach 1 (the clunky big suit) to Mach 3 (the shiny red and gold suit) - and you'll be able to zip around from Stark Mansion to Miami Beach.
Not only will Iron Man's flying abilities come in handy, but you can also use the uni-beam and ground pound while fighting Melee style or during hover and flying shoot-outs.
The game plays out like a third person shooter, with health power-ups to collect as you strategically destroy areas, like large ships, tanks and weapons. With a mix of story that matches the film and brings in the quirky comic humour for fans, you'll take on enemies like the Melter, Controller, Madam Masque and Whiplash during missions. You can also try 'Heroic Moves' which will add risk to finishing the mission, but provide great rewards if you're successful.
