Generations will resemble older Sonic games but that shouldn't put you off. The original games were rad and this game mixes the best of those in one.
The 'older' sections play simply - Sonic spins and dashes, but the 3D sections are totally different. For example, one level called Seaside Hill has both 2D and 3D sections, and while the 2D bits are all about speed, the 3D part has way more routes and different challenges.
Emerald Coast also rocks - the collapsing pier is gnarly!
