They're hairy, scary and lurking everywhere you go, creepy crawly arachnids are a seriously spectacular specimen!

 Huntsmen spiders might be big and hairy, but they're way more scared of you than you are of them. They'd much rather than ran away than pick a fight (or bite)!

Arachnophobes look away! Researchers have found you're never more than about 3m from a spider!

Wolf spiders don't weave webs. Instead, their prey, just like a wolf!

Daddy-long-leg spiders produce venom and have fangs, but they can't open their mouths enough to bite us! They can, however, bite and kill much more dangerous spiders - like Red-Backs!

With some growing to the size of a dinner plate, Tarantulas are the biggest spiders in the world. They can also live for up to 30 years!

Spiders can live pretty much anywhere. They only places they've never been found are the polar regions and the oceans.

Even though they've got eight eyes, spiders can't actually see much. Instead, the hair that covers their bodies is extra sensitive and helps them to get around.
