Q is for 'Quarterdeck': The part of the top deck set aside for the Captain's use.
"Arr, venture to the quarterdeck at ye own risk!"
R is for 'Run a rig': To play a joke on someone.
"I just run a rig on him I did!"
S is for 'Spyglass': A telescope.
"Pull yer spyglass out, mine's gone overboard."
T is for 'Take a caulk': To take a nap.
"Keep lookout fer me will ye? I'm gonna take a caulk."
U is for 'Unrig': To take all the riggings off a ship.
"Aye, I said unrig the ship matey!"
V is for 'Voyage': A journey by sea.
"We be setting sail for a mighty long voyage!"
W is for 'Walk the plank': A punishment where the pirate has to walk out onto the piece of board sticking out from the ship, and then into the sea.
"Ye better be listenin' ta me or I be makin' ye walk the plank!"
X is for 'X marks the spot': The symbol 'x' that shows where treasure is buried on a map.
"If ye be havin' a look fer booty, x marks the spot."
Y is for 'Yo ho ho': A cheerful exclamation
"Yo ho ho me hearties!"
Z is for 'Zenith': The point in the sky that is directly overhead.
"Thar be the zenith up thar aye!"
