K-ZONE
MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These membership terms and conditions (Membership Terms) are in addition to the K-ZONE Terms. Before becoming a member or purchasing a subscription You must read the Membership Terms and agree to be bound by the Membership Terms and ensure your parent or legal guardian consents to You becoming a member and has read and agrees to be bound by the Membership Terms as if they were the member.
Any subscription You purchase is subject to the Membership Terms.
By becoming a member of K-ZONE or purchasing a K-ZONE subscription:
Your acceptance of the Membership Terms by becoming a member of K-ZONE forms an agreement between You (You) and Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd (‘We’ or ‘Us’). If we find that You have not obtained the consent of Your parent of legal guardian to membership we reserve the right to cancel Your membership with immediate affect. We may also cancel your membership or block your access to K-ZONE in other circumstances – see the K-ZONE Terms for more information.
K-ZONE and contacting us – K-ZONE is an online service operated by Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd (“We’ or ‘Us’). If You have questions about membership or subscriptions please contact us using the following email address – k-zone@pacificmags.com.au
Age / Parents and guardians – You must be 16 years of age or under to become a K-ZONE member.
Without limiting the requirement, or our ability to rely on the fact, that Your parent or guardian consents to You becoming a K-ZONE member and agrees to be bound by the Membership Terms, We may contact Your parent of guardian at any time to verify their consent and agreement and may require them to sign a release confirming their consent and agreement. Such release will ask Your parent or guardian to confirm Your age and will ask Your parent or guardian to confirm their consent for You to become a K-ZONE member or obtain a K-ZONE subscription and their agreement with the Membership Terms. The release will require Your parent or guardian to confirm they have accepted responsibility for Your acts and forbearances including any breach of these Membership Terms. The release will include the full name, address and telephone number of Your parent or legal guardian. Failure to provide such proof, particulars or releases will allow us to immediately invalidate Your K-ZONE membership.
We determine the prices of K-ZONE membership and the different membership packages offered and may change those prices from time to time.
We accept a variety of different payment methods - they are displayed within the payment process. Currently, credit card purchases are processed through partnerships with secure payment processors. Membership purchases made online at K-ZONE will be displayed on the customer's billing statement as Pacific Magazines.
K-ZONE memberships will become available as soon as possible after online purchase.
Customers paying for membership by credit card will be contracting with Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd. We use a third party payment provider and therefore do not store any credit card or bank account information. The payment provider is subject to regulation by relevant authorities.
Additional fees for online purchases at K-ZONE may be charged by credit card provider. None of these fees are received by Us and we are not liable for them.
Your credit card providers can provide more information.
Membership fees include GST and may include other fees, taxes or duties in accordance with local laws of regulations. We are not liable for any such amounts. We do not and do not purport to provide tax advice.
Payment must be paid and approved by Your parent or legal guardian who is 18 years or over. As set out above, the process of You becoming a member
You must ensure that You have permission from a primary account holder before making purchases online at K-ZONE.
If You have not gained permission, We reserve the right to cancel membership accounts linked to unapproved purchases.
Membership packages – we offer a number of packages each with different features. You should review these features and any limitations and our policy below on refunds and cancellations before purchasing any of these packages.
Please note that We will only send any prizes or other goods and merchandise You win or earn on K-ZONE, including through use of points You may have earned or been awarded on K-ZONE (K-ching), to postal addresses within Australia.
Option 1 – Free membership
Please see the section on redeeming K-ching below before obtaining this membership. A free membership may not allow You to redeem K-ching You earn on K-ZONE.
Option 2 – Magazine Subscription*

Any charges made in connection with recurring payments or automatic renewals shall be made at the rate that was in effect at the time of original purchase of the service, unless we notify You of a change before such charge is made. As indicated above, we are free to change our prices from time to time.
You can change Your K-ZONE membership packages. You must do this by cancelling Your current package (see below) and purchasing a new membership package. K-ZONE memberships are not transferable.
You can cancel Your membership at any time. Cancelled memberships will continue for and be cancelled at the end of the full period of the package purchased. If Your subscription auto renews (see above) You must cancel before the auto-renewal date or the membership will continue for the additional period for which it was auto-renewed.
If You are buying a magazine subscription the magazine subscription terms and conditions will set out whether You can get a refund. Upon cancellation Your membership will be terminated.
We may cancel your membership at any time if we believe that You have signed up to more than one account, entered incorrect details, used scripting, used the services of a third party or taken any other action designed to give You an unfair advantage over others in gaining products via our Website. You are responsible for ensuring that You comply with any requirements relating to the redemption of products from our Website. These requirements will also be published from time to time in KZONE magazine. Any claim You make for products will be invalidated if You breach this term or any other term in these Membership Terms.
Membership packages can be cancelled or renewed by calling out subscriber phone line 1300 668 118 (within Australia only) .
We reserve the right to cancel a paid membership without a refund upon breach of the K-ZONE Terms, the Rules of these Membership Terms.
Products– from time to time products may be available for You to redeem using K-ching or codewords or similar in the store for products or merchandise (Products). Any Products available to be redeeded using K-ching, codewords or otherwise are not transferable or exchangeable. With the exception of cash prizes, Products cannot be taken as cash and are only available while stocks last and subject to such further terms and conditions as are brought to Your attention in respect of those Products from time to time.
Products will be sent within 6 weeks from the date on which they are redeemed. Any Products You have validly earned and claimed will be sent to Your nominated address as stated in Your original membership entry. We, our associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion takes no responsibility for any Rewards damaged or lost in transit to You or which do not reach You, including if You provided incorrect contact details or failed to update Your contact details or which are otherwise lost due to a technical error.
Members and their parents or guardians are advised that tax implications may arise from obtaining the Product and they should seek independent financial advice prior to redeeming the Product.
Not all Products will be suitable for all age groups – members and their parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that inappropriate Products are not redeemed.
If a Product is unavailable, for whatever reason, We reserve the right to substitute the Product for a different product of equal or greater value. It is a condition of redeeming the Product that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Product and another requirement imposed by the Product supplier, including their refund or warranty terms and conditions. Each Product must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a member is unable to take or use the Product as stated.
Any misuse of K-ching, codewords or similar on Your part may invalidate Your membership or mean You are not able to redeem Products offered by K-ZONE from time to time.
We reserve the right to place a Product back on K-ZONE for redemption by another member in the event that You, claiming to be entitled to redeem the Product, are unable to satisfy these Membership Terms, the K-ZONE Terms or such other enquiry as we make in relation to Your entitlement to Membership or the Product from time to time.
Your personal information – when becoming a member of K-ZONE, You must provide all requested contact details (Personal Details). Personal Details relating to membership must be correct and We may at any time require You to provide proof of identity. Failure to provide proof of identity at the request of Pacific Magazines or entry of incorrect Personal Details will allow US to cancel Your membership. We will use this Personal Information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please see the K-ZONE Terms and our Privacy Policy for more information on our treatment of Your Personal Details or contact us at k-zone@pacificmags.com.au for further information. If You do not agree with the Privacy Policy You should not become a member of K-ZONE.
Disclaimers – You use K-ZONE and any Products at Your own risk and You cannot rely upon K-ZONE or the K-ZONE Material or any Products for any particular purpose (not communicated to You in writing). We provide K-ZONE and the Products on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis and give no express warranties or make any express representations in relation to K-ZONE, the Products, Your use of or access to, or inability to use or access, K-ZONE or any K-ZONE Material, that K-ZONE or the K-ZONE Material will be error free or free of viruses or other harmful components, will work with all hardware of software or that the K-Zone Material is accurate, complete or reliable or about the fitness for purpose of the Products. Our obligations in this respect are limited to applicable consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
You should make and rely on Your own enquires before entering into this Agreement.
Survival – cancellation of Your membership does not affect either party’s rights or remedies under the Membership Terms and all parts of the Membership Terms survive which by their nature survive such cancellation.
