Age: 21 From: Auckland, NZ
Years Wakeboarding: 8
Wakeboarding Winner
KZ: What's wakeboarding all about?
BS: It's about having good times with your mates out on the boat!
KZ: What's the most air you've caught while wakeboarding?
BS: I was in Tahiti doing some filming and we got towed into 3 metre high waves, meaning we were launched about 10 metres high! I had to land the right way to avoid breaking my legs!
KZ: Which wakeboarding move are you trying to master at the moment?
BS: I've just conquered a trick that I have been attempting for the last few years. I'm one of only five people to land a 1080 degree spin, so I guess the next move to learn is the 1260!
KZ: Got any tips for K-Zoners who are new to wakeboarding?
BS: If you've never done it before, just give it a go and then spend as much time on the water as possible! Games Glory!
KZ: How many riders did you have to beat to take gold at the Planet X Summer Games?
BS: There were eight invited riders and I had to beat them all to make my way into the top spot.
KZ: Did you cop any massive stacks during the event?
BS: I dislocated my shoulder in the practice round. Not fun!
KZ: What's the best thing about competing at the Games?
BS: The size of the crowd amps you up! It's an amazing feeling to perform in front of so many people. The prize money was cool too
KZ: What other wicked results have you scored?
BS: I came third in the Australian Pro Tour of Wakeboarding which was cool!
