Match 2 - State of Origin 2012!
NSW won game two..!
NSW won the second State of Origin match! Now the third match will decide who wins the entire series!
In a frenzied footy-fest, Origin 2 played out last night with awesome or awful results, depending on which state you support! After Queensland's victory in the first game, the NSW Blues really needed to win to still have a chance at nailing the series.
Sydney's recent rain made the field really slippery, turning the ball into a bar of soap with lots of fumbles on the field! The video ref got a serious workout in deciphering the messy plays and penalties. At half time, Queensland was up by two points, but the lead wouldn’t last long – particularly once Brett Stewart gained control of the ball and ran nearly the ENTIRE field to score a try!
With the scores now 16-6, aCockroach victory looked assured until a speedy Greg Inglis scored a try centimetres away from the corner of the field. The crowd was going nuts; with ten minutes to go there was only four points between the two teams!
Queensland turned up the pressure on the NSW territory big-time, but the Blues managed to hold on to their lead and the score remained at 16-12 at the final whistle.
As Queensland won the first Origin match and NSW the second, whoever wins the third and final Origin game will win the series for 2012. We’ll definitely be tuning in to see what happens!
Who do you think will win K-Zoners?
