 Here's our interview with the WWE star!
Pip Cowley from K-Zone chats to WWE star Wade Barrett! WB: I started watching wrestling when I was 9 years old and loved it. I was always a fan of wrestlers like Paul Cogan and later on The Rock. When I was 20, being a fan wasn’t enough so I started training to become a wrestler. A few years later, I got signed! KZ: How do you prepare for a fight? WB: The most important thing is to warm up. If you’re cold, that’s when you can get injured. I also have lots of people around me before I fight to help me come up with strategies and tactics. KZ: What’s your signature move? WB: It’s called the wasteland. It involves picking people up and putting them over my shoulders. Then I grab one arm and leg and throw them off! KZ: Do you play WWE video games? If so, which is your favourite? WB: Yes, I play Smack Down VS Raw on Nintendo Wii. You can download my character and play as me, which is pretty cool! KZ: Who’s your favourite wrestler right now besides you? WB: I’m a big fan of Chris Jericho because he’s someone who has achieved everything I want to in my career. He’s also a mentor of mine who gives me heaps of advice. KZ: What’s in store when you come out to Australia and NZ in July? WB: It’s going to be a very exiting Raw tour. I’m hoping to come out as I’ve never been out to Australia or New Zealand. All the wrestlers can’t wait to be there! KZ: What can viewers expect to see on Jan 31 for the Royal Rumble on Main Event? WB: This year is the biggest Royal Rumble ever with 40 wrestlers competing. It’s going to be crazier than ever with so many wrestlers up against each other! Comments
