Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are set to be the new members of the Avengers in Age of Ultron. You might recognize the actors, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, from the recent movie Godzilla. The super-powered Marvel siblings have already been seen fighting alongside Hawkeye in photos from the set in Italy.
Ultron has been confirmed as the big villain of the Avengers sequel, but a second villain may make an appearance. The after credits scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier showed us a character called Baron Wolfgang von Strucker. He appeared as a powerful HYDRA member in a secret base, and we see he has Loki’s staff from the first Avengers film, as well as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch trapped in a cell.
While there is a comic book series called Age of Ultron, the movie won’t be based on the same plot. Even the origin of Ultron will be different to his comic book creation at the hand of Ant-Man. Guess we'll have to wait and see who (or what) Ultron is!
Tony Stark’s buddy James “Rhodey” Rhodes (also known as War Machine or Iron Patriot), played by Don Cheadle, has also been approved for the movie, so hopefully we’ll get to see him fighting alongside Iron Man.
Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie, is rumored to be appearing in the upcoming film, but unfortunately no official statement has been made. He did tell Captain America he’d stick with him at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so hopefully that means we’ll be seeing more of the flying superhero.
According to Marvel President Kevin Feige, Hulk and Hawkeye fans are going to like Age of Ultron, with the characters getting “very big parts” in the film.
