K-Zone Editorial Guidelines

K-Zone is an Australian brand created for kids aged 6-13. Children in this demographic have turned to K-Zone for the latest in movies, games, TV, books, comics, toys, activities, pranks, and more, since April 2000.

K-Zone is a growing community of highly engaged fans across multiple channels, including the print magazine, website, YouTube, and social channels. The print magazine is published in Australia and New Zealand, with subscriptions available for national and international readers. The K-Zone Team endeavour to create a safe space in print and online platforms that is inclusive, engaging, entertaining, and informative. The K-Zone Team will always strive to publish or share content that is appropriate for the K-Zone audience, through editorial content and client collaborations/partnerships.

Editorial guidelines that the K-Zone Team (members and contributors) adhere to include:

  • Suitability and integrity: We always think of the reader and ensure content is appropriate for their age and interests. K-Zone aligns with brands/franchises/properties/personalities that are both safe and enjoyable for readers. When content may skew to the older range of our target demographic, we note that content is ‘For Older K-Zoners’.
  • Privacy and sensitivity: Given the age range of K-Zone’s audience, we respect and protect individuals’ privacy rights. Readers must have a parent/guardian’s permission to enter K-Zone competitions, and additional permission to be featured in the K-Zone print publication and online platforms.
