What would happen if you mixed Animal Crossing with Zelda? It might be something like The Girl Who Steal Time, which combines cosy activities like fishing, crafting and decorating dwellings with dungeon crawling, combat and exploration. It tells a terrific tale too, sending your character back in time atop a fossilised dragon (come to life) only to crash land in a strange new kingdom! Fantasy Life i doesn’t take itself seriously, with a goofy sense of humour and quirky cutscenes. There’s a LOT to do too. There are 14 professions you can take on (called ‘Lives’) letting you become anything from a magician to a mercenary, a carpenter to a cook! You can even try a bunch and switch between them at will. It’s pretty chill doing jobs around town or setting up your own village, but our fave part is heading out into the large open world in search of adventure!

If you have a sibling that wants in on the action, they can play as your kooky companion Trip! They’ll be able to attack enemies, pick up items and help collect stuff. Local co-op is unlocked in the first hour of play – just look out for the notification!
