KZ: Hi Theo! Why did you want to enter the One-Day Contract competition?

T: I wanted to be the One-Day Contract winner so I could train at the Western Bulldogs Club with the players! I’ve been playing footy for two years. It’s fun and I get to play with my friends.

KZ: To enter the One-Day Contract comp, you submitted a video audition and your video was played to the whole team! How did you feel when you won?

T: I felt very happy and excited. I told all my friends and they said, ‘Congratulations!’

KZ: What was the most memorable part of training with the team?

T: I think what I’ll remember the most about training with the team is watching what they do, so now I can give my friends some tips! My favourite part of training with the team was having fun kicking and doing a competition with Jamarra Ugle-Hagan to see who could make the boundary snap. I won it! I made it in the first shot. It took him three goes.

KZ: You also got to run out with the team on game day! How did you feel?

T: I felt really nervous and excited! I got to run right through the banner!

KZ: What was the best thing about winning the One-Day Contract competition?

T: The best part about winning was getting to go behind the scenes; I got to go inside everything and see inside the footy grounds.

KZ: Wow! What else did you receive as part of your One-Day Contract prize?

T: I got a backpack with footy boots, shorts, socks, and a jumper with Cody Weightman’s number - he’s my favourite player! I also had a video call with Cody. He was so excited to see me!
