Playing Now: Kirby Air Riders

Choose a rider, an epic machine, and jump on to start racing! Your opponents will face off against you in arena battles, or speedy races that take place on the ground and in the air. Available On: Nintendo Switch 2

There’s a range of riders included in Kirby Air Riders, like Kirby (obviously), Meta Knight, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee, Waddle Doo, Magolor, Chef Kawasaki, Knuckle Joe, Gooey, Cappy, Starman, and Susie! The machine selection is pretty sweet, with Warp Star, Wheelie Bike, Winged Star, Wagon Star, Shadow Star, Bulk Star, Swerve Star, Turbo Star, Slick Star, Rocket Star, Rex Wheelie, Compact Star, Paper Star, Tank Star, Chariot, and Battle Chariot! Each rider has their own stats and Specials (plus they can grab Copy Abilities from foes), and each machine handles differently, so get familiar with the best combo for your racing style! You’ll be able to use the Boost Charge button to brake and turn, and filling your Boost Charge gauge as you drift around a bend can be used to release an explosive charge! You can speed around Skyah in City Trial to find machines, collect power ups, and survive Field Events before Stadium contests – or if you’re all about the racing, head into Air Ride for a swift dash against five riders.

GAME NINJA PRO TIP!

Each amiibo dual pack comes with a rider and machine, which you can put together to form an amiibo figure. You can also mix and match the riders and machines to create different combos, then tap the different amiibo figure to bring it into the game!
