KZ: Hi Ravi! What was it like working on a big Star Wars project with physical sets and costumes, as well as filming in the volume?
R: The volume was awesome. I loved all the location sets, they're going to look so realistic, because they actually were that realistic, they were so practical! There was real dirt that got slapped on us, it was so messy, so fun. The prosthetics and effects are amazing. The aliens were provided by Legacy, who do amazing effects. It was awesome how real everything was. Usually on other productions, people are working with tennis balls on a stick, and that wasn't the case on this. We were working with actual aliens and droids!
KZ: Your character (Wim) and the rest of the crew navigate unique challenges in the show! If the cast were in an escape room, would you have any useful personal skills?
R: Recently we were talking about three things you would bring on a real adventure, and everybody said my picks were the most logical item, so I guess I would bring logical thinking. I'm also a really good climber and rock climber, and I’m good at parkour too.
KZ: Was there a line or scene that was difficult to film because you or another member of the cast couldn’t stop laughing?
R: Well, when I say that the cast and I were constantly laughing outside of the scenes, I'm not even kidding. We were such jokers. Literally everywhere we went, we were making jokes. When we went to crafty, we were just joking around. There weren’t any particular major slip ups when we were actually shooting – however, the second they cut the cameras, we would lose it. That was it. We would just start absolutely breaking down. We completely lost character. It was all over from that point once the cameras cut – even over silly things that happened during the scenes. It was so much fun. We had so many funny moments shooting.

KZ: LEGO Star Wars is one of the best LEGO combinations, and there is a LEGO Star Wars: Skeleton Crew set! How does it feel to have a LEGO minifig based on your likeness?
R: I've loved minifigures my whole life, it’s such an honour. I actually haven't built the full ship set yet. I'm really bad at building LEGO, even with the instructions, but I'm definitely going to build it – I might have to get my sister and dad to help, because they're the real LEGO experts around here. I have two of the sets – one I haven't opened, and one that I opened to get the Wim minifig.
KZ: The 'Big Screen Smash' issue of K-Zone is all about movies! What are your top three movies of all time?
R: The Goonies, and I'm not just saying that to be biased. I genuinely love The Goonies. I’d say any Wes Anderson movie. Also In The Heights, which is a musical that turned into a movie that Lin-Manuel Miranda did. I memorised every single song the minute it came out!
