Hey K-Zoners!
You can probably guess what I’ve been doing over the last couple of days! Well, yeah, working on the coolest magazine in the world, of course. But I’ve also been tuning into the Australian Open any chance I get. Did anyone catch Hewitt v Duckworth last night? I watched it with my family and we were all yelling C’MON!!!!! at the TV. LOL. After the first set, I thought they were going to be neck-and-neck for the rest of the match, but in the second set it was pretty clear Hewitt was dominating. He went on to win 7-6 6-2 6-4.
Speaking of Lleyton Hewitt… Wanna know what he gets up to in his spare time? I think it’ll surprise you. Take a look.

Yep, he hangs out with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, plus a bunch of his friends/enemies (frenemies?) on court. Why not! Novak Djokovic looks like he’s really enjoying himself. And Raphael, what are you doing with that weapon?
Anyway, the tennis stars and the Ninja Turtles recently hung out and entertained crowds at the fourth annual Kids Tennis Day at Melbourne Park. It was presented by the cool peeps at Nickelodeon and hosted by our favourite Nowhere Boy, Rahart Adams. Besides TMNT, there were dancers, acrobats and even SpongeBob swung by to meet fans.
The highlight? Watching Hewitt flex his super skills against four young players from the audience. So cool! Actually, I’m a bit jelly – I’d love to face Hewitt!
Have you been watching the Australian Open? What matches are you looking forward to? Are you as shocked by Nadal’s epic loss as I am? If you haven’t heard, Verdasco knocked Rafa out of the Australian Open in a four hour and 42 minute showdown: 7-6 4-6 3-6 7-6 6-2. Bye Rafa :(
