SPORT WARS

SPORT WARS

Ever wondered what sports Star Wars characters would be good at? Lou answers just that in her Star Wars-themed sports blog!

Hi K-Zoners,

You’ve probably noticed that it’s Star Wars week on our website! And you’re probably wondering, how can I possibly write a blog post about Star Wars and sport. To be honest, I, at first, thought the same thing. Seems like a bit of a stretch, yeah? But then it hit me… If the characters in Star Wars actually had time to play sport (you know, after a long day of causing chaos in the galaxy), some of them would be pretty amazing at it!

Here are the sports I think they’d be pro at…

BB-8

BB-8

This droid has some smooth moves and the ability to zip in and out of intense situations. These skills are perfect for dodge ball – just imagine BB-8 ducking, weaving and beeping all over the court! LOL! The only potential downfall would be if someone thought BB-8 was the ball. Awkward.

Chewbacca

Standing at over two metres tall, Chewie would obviously make a great basketball player. A Wookiee in a singlet and shorts, charging down the court and effortlessly slam-dunking? That’s what you call intimidating.

Darth Vader

Darth Vader

This one is too easy. That mask. That expert breathing. Darth was destined to be a deep-sea diver. Lucky for marine life everywhere that never happened. Interestingly, he also showed promise in show jumping.

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker

One of the most powerful Jedis EVER and a talented lightsaber wielder, Luke would be a natural at fencing. Being Force sensitive, he’d easily be able to sense his opponent’s next move. Not sure how well a sword would deflect shots from a Stormtrooper blaster rifle though…

Yoda

So much Force. Good at any sport, he would be.

And the other characters? You tell me! Leave me a comment and I’ll write back!

Catch you soon!

Lou :)
P.S. I’m going to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere tonight! CAN. NOT. WAIT. To get pumped for the movie, check out Aideen’s post over at the Blog of Awesome.
