We’re almost there K-Zoners! Take a look at that countdown clock! Less than a week until Star Wars: The Force Awakens! I haven’t recovered from seeing Harrison Ford, aka Han Solo(!!) in the flesh last week, and I’m clutching my BB-8 droid with anticipation for the movie! I thought I’d share some cool behind the scenes facts with you to celebrate finally getting to Star Wars Countdown Week!
- Actor Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens, used to dress up as a gonk droid when he went to see the other Star Wars movies with his family. He basically chucked on a box and some grey stripes and headed to the cinema! Legend!
- The Force Awakens will be the first Star Wars film not to be released in May.
- The director, JJ Abrams, originally turned down the job! He’s such a big Star Wars fan, he didn’t want to spoil the next movie by being in charge! LOL! He eventually changed his mind, and we trust he’s made an awesome movie!
- This will be the first Star Wars film that doesn’t involve its creator, George Lucas. Whoa!
- The Force Awakens is the start of a whole new bunch of Star Wars productions! There are plans to release a new film every year, including spin offs, sequels and an animated series!
