If you’ve seen the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 trailer, you probably noticed there was a whole heap of new information revealed in the fast-paced footage! I’ve written about previously revealed info in my blog before, so check them out too if you want to know more about the movie!
While the sequel was originally called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Half Shell, the trailer revealed that the movie has been renamed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out Of The Shadows! The new title makes sense since the trailer shows Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael revealing their existence to the world! That’s major news – our fave turtles have been hiding in the sewers and the dark of night while saving the city in the past!
We also get to see Bebop and Rocksteady for the first time on the big screen! All we knew originally was that human actors would play the duo, but this trailer shows that we’ll be getting rhino and pig henchmen after all! It also explains how they become giant animals that work for Shredder – it looks intense. I think Bebop and Rocksteady look close to their previous designs, and I’m keen to see them in action! They’ve got some hilare lines in the trailer, and seeing a giant rhino and pig seated on motorbikes gives us a great taste of how crazy this movie is going to be!
The trailer also gives us our first glimpse of Stephen Amell as Casey Jones in motion – we’ve only seen a few sneaky pictures of him so far! It’s fun to see that he will continue to be a masked hockey-stick wielding vigilante with some serious skills. That moment where we see Casey rollerblading away from a raging Rocksteady? Insane!
The most mysterious part of the movie so far is shown at the opening of the trailer. There’s some pretty scary looking stuff happening in the city – giant whirling clouds of doom in the sky don’t usually end well. Now we know there’s some kind of threat for the Turtles to save everyone from, but we’re still being kept in the dark about what it is!
What did you think of the trailer? Let me know in the comments!
