Believe it or not, there’s more to making K-Zone than Googling hilarious dogs and hanging with life-sized Marios… But there’s a lot of that too.
After hours of brainstorming we write some words which we turn into features. Unforch we can’t tell you how it’s done or you might get really good at it and we’ll be out of a job.
Once we’ve checked each page a million times (and then once more), we send the files to these guys at the printer! A plate is then created from the files supplied.
Next it’s to the press, which consumes rolls of paper bigger than two Corbins!
There are four presses, because CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key AKA Black). These four diff inks mix to create all of the colours!
Mmm…warm K-Zone.
Before the mags look like mags, they need to be cut…
…and folded… and collated… and stapled… and packed…
…and shipped!
It’s always sad when another issue leaves the printers. Bye bye K-Zone! *sniff*
An epic drive later, and the mags get to the shops ready to be bought by you.
Suuuuuch an epic journey. But it’s totally worth it – we love working on K-Zone, cos it rules!
