Hey K-Zoners!

Summer holidays are here and one of our fave things about the summer holidays are all the cool movies out in cinemas. High up on the list is Ghostbusters: Afterlife, in cinemas on January 1.

The K-Zone Team were recently invited to an awesome advanced preview screening of Ghostbusters: Afterlife. At this event, there was a replica model of the iconic Ecto-1, a special photo wall to take photos with Muncher (one of the creatures in the film), and awesome green drinks that totally had ectoplasm vibes!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a movie for older K-Zoners and a lot of fun! Here are our five fave things about the movie:

1. The Mini-Pufts: They are so cheeky and chaotic! They steal every scene they are in and we would like our own army of Mini-Pufts. We’ll defs be collecting all the different Mini-Pufts merch for sure!
2. The Easter Eggs: If you’ve already watched the OG movie from 1984 with your parents, it’s fun to watch this new film and spot all the callbacks to Ghostbusters. Have fun spotting the Easter eggs!
3. Super Science: Phoebe, one of the main characters in the movie, loves science. It was awesome to see her interest in science be an important part of the story!
4. Cool Creatures and Special Effects: We already mentioned the Mini-Pufts, but the supernatural creatures in this flick are awesome and we were impressed by the special effects! There’s Muncher, the grumpy creature whose look was inspired by tardigrades, plus the iconic Terror Dogs who had us jumping in our seats – yep, the effects were that good! 
5. Podcast: Nope, we don’t mean audio episodes you listen to online – Podcast is the name of a character in the movie. Phoebe becomes friends with Podcast when her family moves to Somerville. He is named Podcast because he has his own podcast called Mystical Tales of the Unknown Universe. Anyway, he’s really funny and has a lot of great lines. He was totally our fave character... after the Mini-Pufts, coz how do you compete with them?
