Night At The Museum Secrets

Night At The Museum Secrets

Owen Wilson told us about filming this awesome flick!

K-Zone got to hear from Owen Wilson, who plays Jedediah the miniature cowboy in Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb.

KZ: What do you love most about the Night at the Museum films?

Owen: For me it’s all about working with Steve Coogan, who plays Octavius the Roman soldier. Making the film, we became really good friends. I love the way our characters relate to each other! Finding those characters is not something that I think either of us has to struggle with — they come very easily to us and it's always fun.

KZ: What was Jedediah’s friendship like with Octavius the toy soldier?

Owen: This time we're very much in our own kind of buddy movie because we don't do scenes with anybody else. No one else is ever in our scenes because of the way they have to film them. We’re both miniature (two inches tall), so it requires a lot of green screen. We're in our own little world!

KZ: Which was the most fun scene to film?

Owen: The one where we are being blown down an air duct tunnel. I haven't done many action movies, but it feels like an action movie when you're doing that kind of work, because they put you in harnesses and you go flying along and they rig up something that you hit. It was great!

KZ: Have you always been funny?

Owen: As a child I didn't ever think about becoming a comedian. In school, I wasn't really a class clown, but I would get into trouble and sometimes give colourful answers to what I thought were silly questions from teachers, and that would make the other kids laugh and sometimes I’d get the teachers laughing a little bit.

KZ: What have kids got to look forward to with this third and final film in the franchise?

A: It’s a great adventure and it’s really, really funny.

We even got our hands on some cool footage of Ben Stiller talking about the film! Check it out here.
