How many LEGO fans read the Blog of Awesome? Let me know in the comments below, because I’m wondering how many K-Zoners think this LEGO sculpture is seriously rad!
Artist Nathan Sawaya has an incred exhibition called The Art of the Brick: DC Comics which is full of amazing LEGO sculptures! He recently added the above sculpture, called ‘Showdown’, to the exhibition, and it features an epic confrontation between Batman and Superman! Nathan made the sculpture with 30,000 LEGO bricks – we reckon it must have taken ages, but it was obviously totally worth it!
For The Art of the Brick: DC Comics, Nathan made over 120 works of art using over one million LEGO bricks, inspired by Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and heaps more! There is even a life-size Batmobile made of 500, 000 bricks and it will blow your mind!
I got to check out the exhibition back before it opened, so of course I took a sneaky pic with one of the awesome LEGO sculptures – this huge LEGO recreation of the first ever comic to show Superman was so cool!
I had the best time checking out the exhibition, and I reckon any other fans of DC Comics characters, and LEGO, will love it too!
Australia is actually the first country to get to see The Art of the Brick: DC Comics, and the exhibition is open at The Powerhouse Museum until May 1, 2016, so get in quick!
