- Cranky Kong is a playable character for the first time (he can use his cane to bounce off dangerous surfaces).

Advance tip: collect enough bananas to fill up your Kong-Pow meter and you get to use the Kong-Pow move - an epic manouvre that beats every enemy on the screen and replaces them with an item you can collect (like golden hearts or banana coins).
