Love Splatoon? You can get even more inky adventures with a free software update! The update is gonna include two new matchmaking modes, weapon types and more than 40 new pieces of gear.

Now you can choose whether to battle in teams with your mates in Squad Battle, or to battle against each other in Private Battle.

Then you can gear up with new weapons and costumes to choose from! First there are the Slosher weapons, which will shoot ink straight ahead at a long range. Then you can get your hands on the Splatling, which allows you to charge up ink and release it in a big blast.

Plus, you can dress up as a sushi-chef or rock a sweet leather jacket with heaps of new gear to select!
