Legacy of the Dark Knight takes in the brooding bat’s entire career, with more iconic moments, villains, locations and costumes than just about anything that’s come before. It looks like a huge step up for LEGO games too, with a moody open-world Gotham City and some awesome abilities. It wouldn’t be a Batman game, after all, without grappling from the ground to the top of a tower then launching into a glide over grungy Gotham. Or clicking into the cockpit of a collection of classic Batmobiles (built brick by brick by Master Builder Batman first, natch). Nor would it be Batman without lurking in the shadows before swooping down on a gang of thugs to POW, WHACK and BAM them. The Bat will also face off against famous foes such as The Joker, Bane and Penguin in a story that’s equal parts serious showdown and classically comedic LEGO laughs. Coolest of all? Splitscreen co-op will let you fight crime with a friend!
