KZ: Making Adventure Time must be hilarious! Do you make up some of the funny lines on the spot?

Jeremy: Most of it is already written but there’ll be times when I’ll be like “Finn might say it more THIS way, can I tweak it a bit?” There are also big group scenes where lots of random characters speak on top of each other, and these are mostly improvised! That kinda stuff is always so fun.

KZ: Haha, we bet! Tell us something super-cool and interesting about making Adventure Time that viewers might not know!

Jeremy: It takes aggggges to animate! Recording the voices is the shortest part of the process (two to three hours per ep) but animating each frame can take up to nine months.

KZ: Whoa! Do you voice actors all hang out together?

Jeremy: Yes! While we’re working we play off each other’s energy, which is great. Whenever we go to places like comic conventions, we have more time just to talk and play pranks on each other.

KZ: Random question – you rap, right?

Jeremy: It’s something I never thought I’d do! But yes, it’s totally fun!

KZ: Got any advice for K-Zone readers who wanna get into voicing ‘toons?

Jeremy: Defs! Just start mimicking TV shows and stuff and eventually you’ll come up with your own characters!
