KZ: Hi Nick! How did you feel when you were told you would be Tomias?

N: I felt, surprised, excited and really good.

KZ: Caitlin, how did you feel when you were told you would be Dahlia?

C: I felt privileged to be trusted with such an important story. I always wanted to be an actor, so I was really excited but also very nervous.

KZ: Who is the funniest member of the cast, in your opinion? Who makes you laugh the most?

N: Finn [Treacy] who plays Gordon is the funniest and made me laugh a lot – He’s deadly.

C: Every day provided funny moments. I think the funniest times were the off-screen “Rap Battles” between Penelope [Thomas] and I and Nick and Finn [Treacy].

KZ: Other than your own character, which character would you like to meet the most, and why?

N: Dahlia is a great character, lots of fun and deadly clever.

C: I think Nana Caroleena [played by Frances Djulibing] would be a great person to meet because she carries so much knowledge about Country and culture. She is also very caring and kind.

KZ: What would K-Zoners be surprised to learn about you?

C: I taught myself to roller-skate and crochet. I am also an acting Corporal in the Australian Air Force Cadets.

Man, I love the show, the country, the kiddish mischief and the adventure. I am a 50-year-old public servant who was born on a different continent. Yet I feel so much part of the country and the kids make me feel as if I am with them in their country adventures. The storyline also has a subtle healing undertone.
