If you’ve played Minecraft, you’ll be right at home in Fortnite’s new brick royale. Survival mode is all about exploring, gathering resources, crafting gear and building out your base. It does a few things differently from Mojang’s masterpiece, though. One of our fave features is how you unlock blueprints to help make building larger structures easy. If you have the materials you can quickly place piece after piece for a fab prefab. It’s also tops that your town attracts visitors. They can give you advice, help find materials and even come on quests! Online co-op is supported too, but if you’re playing survival solo the townsfolk are a huge help. The biggest bummer right now is that LEGO Fortnite is a bit of a grind to gather resources and unlock all the blueprints, but it’s still a blocky blast. And if you want a break from Survival, Sandbox mode lets you build to your heart’s content!

PRO TIP!

You can use beds in LEGO Fortnite to set a new respawn point, just like you can in Minecraft. If you’re about to head into a cave or you’ve travelled far from your village, pop down a bed so you don’t lose too much progress if you meet an unfortunate end.
