SPLAT-TASTIC SETTING
Splatoon 2’s Splatocalypse is painted over, but the splat is back. You’re gonna hang out in Splatsville inside the Splatlands. It’s a huuuge paint lob away from Inkopolis. Jump into the paint-proof boots of a rad recruit. There’s a new Agent 3 in town. You’ll need more than a new lick of paint to impress ’em!
RAD RESPAWNS
Expect to splash out buckets of paint in Splatoon 3’s multi. Plus, now there’re neat new feats, like the Spawner Drone. Reg Spawn Points are still around, but the Spawner Drone gives you cool choices. This floating friend is rearing and ready for rad redeployment. Aim where you want to spawn. Then shoot out for fast flanks!
SPLATTING SALMON
Co-op fan? Great news! Salmon Run is back and better than ever. Our fave new map? Sockeye Station. This advanced Salmonids base is built around a treacherously tall tower. Use your noggin and plenty of paint to outsmart all-new big-bad bosses. Plus, you’ll have a Salmon Run Smallfry bud at your side for the campaign!
CAMPAIGN CAN-PAIN
Get used to seeing stacks of sand in the Splatlands, but the heat’s turned down for the campaign. Like, right down to subzero, snow-stuffed temps! Alterna is the name of this ‘(n)ice to see you’ place and word is other cool cats apart from Judd and Li’l Judd will pop up.
STRINGER WINNERS
Stacks of fan-fave paint-dispenser return in Splatoon 3. So you can still splash out with Shooters, roll foes with Rollers, and best bouts with Brushes. Plus, there’s a new main weapon category. Stringers! Like a Hawkeye trick shot, the Tri-Stringer fires off three ink-trailing shots. And they pop off a big paint bang when they hit!
ANGLES ACE
It’s going to be ace stringing together Stringer strikes. But one of the new sub-weapons has cool creative potential. The Angle Shooter does what its name says. For basics, it fires beams. But those beams bounce off corners. Use the Angle Shooter to tag foes around corners with replay-worthy trick shots!
SUPER SPECIALS
Ninty hasn’t forgotten about special weapons. Splatoon 3 has stacks! Our faves? Use Ink Vac to return incoming ink to sender. The Crab Tank is—you guessed it—a powerful crab-shaped tank. Big Bubbler pops a protective dome. The Killer Wail 5.1 launches lasers from floating megaphones. Plus, the Zipcaster is a Batman-approved grapple hook.
