ENEMY TIPS
The first thing you should do when facing an enemy is to work out its weakness – for example, if you come up against a fire enemy (like Fire Chuchu, Fire Keese and Fire Wizzrobe), launch a water arrow at it to put out its fire. Another way to inflict a lot of damage on an enemy is to sneak attack them before engaging in full combat. And if you meet a Lynel, one of the toughest enemies in the game? Make sure your backflip and side jump dodging skills are up to scratch!
FUSING TIPS
Running low on items? Just look around your environment and you’ll be surprised by all the objects that can be fused – metal crates, rocks, wheels… Even bones! One item that can get a whole lot more awesome after a fuse is an arrow. Experiment to see what effects it can gain when fused to random objects. If you fuse an eyeball to an arrow it will work like a honing arrow on the enemy! And here’s a fun one – fusing a Zonaite Wing to your arrow will make it go further.
PUZZLE TIPS
Head to Shrines to find great puzzles that’ll teach you how to get the most out of your Ascend, Ultrahand and Recall abilities. If you’re up for a challenge, head to Mayaumekis Shrine in Hebra Mountains Sky for one of the hardest puzzles in the game. Just make sure you take a lot of arrows with you, or you might freeze at the first hurdle!
COOKING TIPS
If you’re looking to upgrade an effect, just use more of the same ingredient. For example, if you use one Stamella Shroom you’ll get a little bit of stamina recovery. Use five and you’ll get heaps!
VEHICLE BUILDING TIPS
Dive into The Depths and get the Autobuild ability as soon as you can. It gives you the power of instant building, so you don’t need to have all the resources for the build on hand if you have Zonaite to pay the cost. Once you have it, you can get creative with your vehicle building. Just remember to add a steering stick as this will make your ride easier to control.
EXPLORING TIPS
Here are three game changing things we’ve discovered on our travels:
- Offer fruit to a cherry blossom tree – this will summon a spirit called Satori who will mark all caves in the area with a beam of light.
- Unlock the Shrine Sensor early in the game by doing the Purah Pad upgrade quests. The sensor will beep when you’re near shrines and treasure chests.
- Find a Rock Octorok in the Eldin Mountains. If you drop a weapon or shield in front of one, it’ll power it up.
