Turns out that astronauts aren’t the only organisms on board the International Space Station! During a recent spacewalk, Russian scientists discovered live plankton and other microscopic sea creatures after using wipes to polish the windows. How’s that for an upside to housework? They reckon air currents from Earth blew the li’l guys there. This means that the plankton can survive in the vacuum of space despite lack of oxygen, cosmic radiation and freezing temperatures. Crazy!
And since we're talking about aliens...I guess we should mention this freaky GALLERY of weird sea creatures that belong in outer space!
