Mario and Luigi: Brothership Intro

Get ready to plug into an electrifying new Mario Bros. adventure as Nintendo’s dynamic duo ship out to explore a whole new world! Available On: Switch

Mario & Luigi: Brothership brings the bombastic bros to Concordia, a wacky world themed around power sockets and plugs. Their home base is a massive island-shaped ship (called Shipshape Island, natch) and you can use the big ol’ boat’s cannon to careen the moustachioed men over to shore! Exploring and puzzle solving is about working together as a team, whether the portly plumbers are Voltron-ing together to fly over lava or Luigi is activating moving platforms while Mario jumps between them. This double dose of dynamism should be at its best in battles, as you help each hero leap over incoming attacks or bop enemies back with a hammer. Team up attacks are our fave though. One colossal combo sees the pair passing a red shell back and forth like a soccer ball before Mario launches into the air to deliver the final devastating shot on the enemy. A true bro stopper!

DID YOU KNOW?

The Mario & Luigi series dates back to Superstar Saga, which was released on Game Boy Advance in 2003. Over the course of five games (and two re-releases) everyone’s top twinsies have done everything from teaming up with their baby selves to being swallowed by Bowser, exploring Luigi’s dreams and partying up with Paper Mario!
