Playing Now: KungFu Kickball

A flat-tastic game of 2D soccer where the power of your foot is as good for scoring goals as it is for sockin’ other players! Available On: Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC

We love FIFA. And we fancy the fast-paced foot/fist fun of fightin’ games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Smash footy and fightin’ together and you get KungFu Kickball! It’s kinda like a 2D Rocket League with magical martial arts. Square off in 1v1 or 2v2 local showdowns for fast, frantic fun. Jump impossibly high in the sky to chase the player-sized ball. Then boot and headbutt the ball to your opponent’s bell. Hand-ball ain’t a thing in KungFu Kickball, so punches also work. Make ball meet bell for a point. Ring the bell the most before the timer ticks out and you win. But there’s a kung-fu catch. Those flying feet, fists and foreheads also work on your opponents. No penalties! Bounce the ball. Or bonce a foe. Land enough whacks on an opponent to temporarily take them out of the game. Then capitalise on the space with an easier run at the goal bell.

DID YOU KNOW?

WhaleFood Games, the developer behind KungFu Kickball, is a one-dude dev team. Jonah Wallerstein, the one-dude dev, likes making fun games that are a cinch to play. But they also have rad depth. His first one, Too Many Snakes, is a mobile game that pits a psychic mouse against slippery snakes!
