If you haven’t already taken a dip, you should totes dive into Subnautica. Properly drenched in that awesomeness? Now you’re ready for the impossibly cool fun of Subnautica: Below Zero. It’s cool because it’s an icy, nice-y part of this wide, wet alien world. There’s still an ocean of mysteries to swim through on planet 4546B, which is basically Kamino. There aren’t any clone troopers, but there are stacks of identical fish to keep you fed. There’s even drinkable fish (no, really)! Zero has an in-your-snorkel story that’s a handy swimming teacher for guiding your underwater adventuring. Swim from below zero to solo hero. Plus, there’s stacks to discover outside of the main story’s swimming lanes. Unlock blueprints at your submerged starting base. Then swim out to find the bits to make your submerged life easier. Totes get a scanner first. Then scan everything. Dive deeper into water or icy caves. Then trek higher over snowy mountains.
PRO TIP!
Staying on top of food and water are critical parts of Subnautica: Below Zero. But the biggest thing to keep a close eye on is oxygen. Avoid diving too deep early on. When you rush back to the surface for air, dodge air-blocking ice floes. It’s worth crafting a Standard O2 Tank upgrade ASAP!
