Playing Now: World Of Goo 2

Guiding goo balls to the exit is the name of the game in this peculiar puzzler, and to do that you’ll need to build bridges, blow up balloons and blast blobs about. Bonza! Available On: PC, Switch

Levels in World of Goo 2 are part construction site, part strange alien infestation. The goal is to stick together a structure so the gooey globs you see slinking about can be sucked up by the exit pipe. You do this by grabbing these lumps of living liquid one at a time and locking them in place to grow your grid. Different goo balls have particular talents, too. Black blobs can construct teetering towers, see-through slimeballs suck up liquid, green go-getters can be reused repeatedly and pink peeps plump up when they get wet. You can sometimes also get a helping hand from helium balloons or from curious critters that shoot your cute cadre across the map. You have limited blobs to use, so will need to suss out a strong strat to save them. The more blobs you rescue the better, and there are also scores to beat for moves used and time taken. A guaranteed goo’ time!

GAME NINJA PRO TIP

Reaching each level’s exit is easier said than done. It’s important to have strong foundations whether you’re building up or out, so experiment to find the formula! You can always click the white bug to rewind any mistakes or even just restart the level entirely.
