KZ: Hi Noah and Ryan! Can you share a secret from behind the scenes of Rock Island Mysteries with K-Zoners?

N: Did you know that every morning before filming, all the cast has to get their hair and makeup ready for the day. For me and Ryan it would take 20-30 minutes, but for Alexa, Izellah, and Inessa it could take up to an hour!

R: During the final episode of the season and shooting inside of Mount Desolation, we all had to be really careful to not step on the green screen floor that was beneath us. This led to a fun day of hopscotching between different pieces of rock to not mess up the scene.

KZ: Hi Izellah, Alexa, and Izellah! What is your favourite episode in the second season?

IC: There’s an episode where someone very close to the gang gets married, and the person they are marrying is a special someone from one of the episodes of season one. There were many, many laughs and giggles when filming! Let’s just say there’s a bit of drama leading up to the wedding.

A: To be honest, they are all my favourites, but the episode I love the most would be ‘Dream A Little Dream’. It was fun going to different locations and filming the transitions into the following scenes. The face masks were a challenge though – we couldn’t touch our faces otherwise it would go everywhere! We had a blast filming because it was like having a big sleepover.

IT: My favourite episode in Season 2 is the one where we travelled back in time and Meesha met her ancestor. It was amazing to think about the times when a person’s value was determined by certain societal standards only. Running a beauty contest where only looks mattered? No, thank you! There is so much more a girl can offer! Not a Beauty Pageant, but Spirit Award! It was empowering for me to ‘turn things around’ and help start the change. I mean – look at modern-day Meesha! There is nothing this girl can’t do!
