Taiko No Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival Intro

Taiko No Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival Intro

No drumsticks needed (wooden or chicken) to find the full-flavoured fun of mastering the beat in Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival! Available On: Switch

It may have “no” in the game name, but we’re very much saying “yes” to Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival. The gig once again is to become a drum master. There are stacks of songs to help your drum journey from beginner drummer to peak percussionist. Our fave track? An orchestral remix of The Legend of Zelda theme song. Nailing the perf rhythm doesn’t happen straight away. That’s what the neat new Practice mode is for. Practice an entire song. Or perfect a part of the same looping beat bit. Choose from 76 drum-tapping tunes. Plus, there are heaps more to snare online. Want even more beats? Try keeping in time with the beat to beat your buds in four-player same-Switch multiplayer mayhem. Or rattle into Donkatsu Toy Wars to turn drumbeats into toy brawls. Plus, play together with Donchan Band mode and put on a lively live concert.

DID YOU KNOW?

The series is a Japanese game that used to be called Taiko Drum Master in Australia. But that totes understandably changed because “taiko” is Japanese for “drum” and “tatsujin” translates to “master”. Sooo, Taiko Drum Master is the same as saying Drum Drum Master, which totes looks offbeat!
