KZ: Hi Michael! Did you take part in any activities as a child that gave you skills you use as a game developer?
M: My brother and I never studied game design at school, we actually taught ourselves everything from curiosity and free resources online! We loved experimenting with computers and wanted to make our own games, so we just played around with whatever we could find until it worked. One of our first “games” was in PowerPoint, linking slides together like a point-and-click adventure. Those little experiments taught us how games were built, what makes them fun, and how to create worlds. I never knew how important those moments as a kid were, but they helped shape where we are today.

KZ: What would you say to K-Zoners who want to become a game developer?
M: Making games is tough work, but it’s also one of the most exciting things you can do. Seeing your ideas come alive is magical! If you want to be a game developer, keep that spark of curiosity alive, draw, play, build, and create as much as you can. Games are just another way to tell stories and share your imagination with the world. So keep experimenting and having fun. Who knows, one day, I might be playing one of your games!
