The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Awesome Intro

The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Awesome Intro

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a whole new style of Zelda adventure and we’re amped about it! Here’s what you need to know! Available On: Switch

ZELDA TO THE RESCUE

When Ganon returns – yet again! – to hassle Hyrule, only Link can save the day, right? Wrong! The guy in green gets swallowed by a gnarly rift which soon spreads across the land, and only the mighty Princess Zelda can step up and sort things out! Thankfully, she has help from a fairy named Tri, and a powerful new tool - the Tri Rod!

ECHO... ECHO... ECHO...

The Tri Rod is a zany zapper that can copy all sorts of items and enemies, letting you summon an ‘echo’ of them whenever you like. Create a trampoline for bonus bounce, or a rock to bop enemies on the bonce! There are stacks of echoes to acquire, including boxes, beds, water blocks, pot plants, signs, tables, fans and more.

MONSTER SUMMONER

You can even use the Tri Rod to summon monsters to fight beside you, or to help in other ways. Ride a Blade Trap and aim its spinning blades at a baddie, use a Deku Baba to chomp chumps, or hitch a ride across a chasm by piloting a Peahat! You can only create a limited number of echoes at a time, so use them wisely!

GET CREATIVE

Puzzle solving is awesomely open-ended, letting you work out your own singular solution to any situation. Need to cross a cave? If you summon a spider its web will hang like a vine for you to climb! Birds of prey in the way? A hunk of meat can distract them while you scoot by. There’s no ‘right’ way to do anything!

FAMILIAR FACES AND PLACES

If you’ve played other Zelda games you’ll defos see some similar sights here. The overworld has serious A Link to the Past and A Link Beyond Worlds vibes, and hosts heaps of iconic spots such as Kakariko Village and Gerudo Town. You’ll also see the Great Deku Tree, go mano-a-mano with Moblins, be introduced to Impa, and meet two species of Zora. Zor-awesome!

A FIERY RIFT

A big part of helping Hyrule will be venturing into rifts and exploring the strange netherworld inside. The usual rules don’t apply here, with chunks of land floating in space, not to mention houses, trees and even people! Zelda will have to make the most of her Tri Rod, as well as other gadgets she unlocks, to be the Hero of Hyrule!
