As Val, a skilled swordsman and magic wielder, you’ll embark on an epic quest across a lush world in Visions of Mana. You’ll be travelling as a guard, charged with protecting a childhood friend who has a very important task at the ancient Tree of Mana. Along the way you’ll meet a cast of quirky characters, gain an agile animal companion to help you get around and fight foes both adorable and awe-inspiring. This series’ action RPG gameplay has always been fun, but Visions of Mana looks to step things up, with fast-paced combat that sees Val attack from the ground and the air, unleashing cutting combos with his sword one moment, flinging fire the next. Val can also harness the unique powers of Elementals, magical spirits aligned with different elements such as fire and water. The world looks large and inviting, and we can’t wait to hear more of the 100 song strong soundtrack!

You can ride a companion called a “pikul” in Visions of Mana, but how did the team decide on its look? They took inspiration from Yorkshire terrier dogs and armadillo-like pangolin, but that’s not all! You might also recognise the tall ears, long nose and dark colouring of Anubis from Egyptian mythology!
