It’s worth doing all the optional missions in Dragon Quest Builders 2. But def sniff out and beat the giant caterpillar in Furrowfield. The Poison Needle recipe is one of the strongest in the game. It has a chance of automatically beating any enemy with a hit. This includes the toughest bosses!

STACKING GRATITUDE

Gratitude points are scored by keeping your townsfolk happy. Feed them. Build nice rooms. Construct dinner tables. Create jobs. Relocate and catch a Liquid Metal Slime for 100 Gratitude hearts. Instead of manually collecting the hearts, ring the town bell. It automatically collects whatever you haven’t nabbed!

UNLIMITED MATERIALS

Farming for materials in Dragon Quest Builders 2 is part of the fun. But there are ways to score unlimited supplies. Play until you return to the Isle of Awakening (after Furrowfield). Then spend Gratitude hearts to visit the smaller island. Each island has a Scavenger Hunt that unlocks an infinite stack of resources for a particular material!
