Jai is a featured artist in this years’ Schools Spectacular at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in November, broadcast on Channel 9. He came third in X-Factor last year and has just released his first self-titled EP.

Jai caught up with K-Zone to talk all things music, sport and much more!

KZ: What does your music collection look like?

Jai: It’s full of all different artists, it even includes my mum's Def Leppard and Bon Jovi, 'cause her music is on my iTunes account.

KZ: Do you have a BAJILLION songs on your iPod?

Jai: 3506 songs... is that a lot?

KZ: Where do you love listening to music most?

Jai: It just happens anywhere, I love music and will listen to it wherever I can.

KZ: Tell us about your dream day!

Jai: In my dream world, I would wake up and walk out my front door onto the sand and go straight for a surf, hop out of the water and have a mean feed and chill with mates.

KZ: Do you play videogames? Got a fave console?

Jai: Xbox. I Iove all the games, I just try and smash it at all of them.

KZ: Ever heard one of your songs playing randomly?

Jai: I was in Culture Kings in Brisbane the other day and I heard my song, but I think it was deliberate. I think they put it on just because I was in the shop... LOL!

KZ: Do you dance? What’s your signature move?

Jai: Yeah, I dance and am always learning new moves, but I don't have a signature move!

KZ: Every pop star seems to have awesome hair? What are you going for? Is there a name for your style? Like 'the Jai'?

Jai: I wear a hat most of the time so I don't really do my hair!

KZ: Could you write us the lyrics of a chorus about K-Zone magazine?

Jai: Who are, Who are, Who are we? We are the K-Zone Magazine Team!

KZ: Do you sing in the shower?
Jai: I sing everywhere!

KZ: Do you have a go-to song?

Jai: Music in general is my go-to.

KZ: Do you sing every single day?

Jai: Yep, if it's at a gig or just practicing or just for fun, I sing every day.

KZ: Can you rap?

Jai: Not really...

KZ: What are your top five fave snacks?

Jai: Fruit, cheese singles, roll-ups, dunkaroos and salt and vinegar chips!

KZ: What are your top five fave places to listen to music?

Jai: In the car, in my room, out and about, walking around the house and in the studio.

KZ: What are your top five fave sports?

Jai: Surfing, rugby league, cricket, skateboarding and motocross.

KZ: What are your top five fave excuses for not doing homework?

Jai: "Dog ate it", "I lost it", "I didn't get any homework", "Mum said I didn't have to do it".

KZ: What are your top five fave bands/artists?

Jai: Bruno Mars, Guy Sebastian, Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.
