You’ll surprise everyone with this handmade Steve costume!

Steve-Image-Minecraft

WHAT YOU NEED: glue stick or a glue gun, scissors, box cutter, packing tape, a blue shirt, blue jeans, a 11x11x11 cardboard box, 11x17” paper.

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Print out your Minecraft Steve Head by printing the face, the back of the head, the left and right ear, and the hair. You may need your parents help/permission. Make sure the pictures will print at the size you want to fit the box sides.
  2. Tape together the bottom of the box. Once it is taped, fold the other flaps of the box in, so make a space for your head.
  3. Use the scissors to trim off any white sections of the print out.
  4. Cover the back of the first printed picture with glue. Place it carefully on the side of the box.
  5. Repeat this process with the other sides and finish with Steve’s hair on top, gluing down the edges of the hair around the box
  6. Have an adult cut holes in the box for Steve’s eyes, then put on the blue shirt and jeans. Tada! You’re Steve!
  7. If you have extra time and some extra cardboard, you could even make the Iron Sword and/or Diamond Pickaxe

Want to get into the Halloween spirit and spook a few people? Well, what’s scarier than a creeper? The answer is nothing, obvs!

Creeper-Minecraft

WHAT YOU NEED: glue stick or a glue gun, scissors, box cutter. packing tapes, a 11x11x11 cardboard box, enough boxes to fit around your body (ask your parents for help if you’re unsure) 11x17” paper

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Print out the Minecraft Creeper face using these two images (1, 2).
  2. Tape together the bottom of the box you will use as the head. Once it is taped, fold the other flaps of the box in, so make a space for your head.
  3. Use the scissors to trim off any white sections of the print out.
  4. Cover the back of the first printed picture with glue. Place it carefully on the side of the box.
  5. Repeat this process with the other sides, gluing down the edges of the hair around the box
  6. Have an adult cut holes in the box for your eyes.
  7. Now take the box (or boxes) you will use for your body. Make sure two sides are folded into the box, so you can stand inside it. Stick printed versions of this image on the other four sides with glue.
  8. Finally, cover the box (or two boxes) you will use for your feet with printed versions of this image. Make sure the one side of the box is open for your feet to touch the ground.
  9. You can also stick the body and feet boxes together with tape on the inside if you like.
  10. Now you’re all set to chase a few people and be an annoying creeper!
Yo K-Zoners! Grab an adult's help with printing and cutting!
