Playing Now: Cat Quest III

Catventure awaits as you sail the seas of the Purribean as a purr-ivateer in search of a meow-thical treasure! Just watch out for the pi-rats and scurvy dogs! Available On: PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X

You may be an adorable puss in Cat Quest III but you’re also one fur-some fighter who won’t ever roll over. (That’s for dogs.) Instead, nothing will stop you in your quest to find the treasure of legend – the Northern Star. Set in an awesome open-world, Cat Quest III lets you seamlessly jump between sailing the seas and exploring on land, and every island has secrets to uncover. You’ll take on quests, open chests and fight furry fiends. The combat system is great, letting you attack up close then dash away to fire off some shots from your blunderbuss or cast a spell. There are stacks of different weapons, clothes, spells and more to find, and they can all be upgraded. Most of the action takes place on the main map, but you’ll also enter shops, forts and dungeons where the viewpoint switches to side-on. No matter where you are, however, Cat Quest III is nothing short of gorgeous. Purr-fection!

GAME NINJA PRO TIP

Any new weapons, gear or spells you pick up need to be equipped so don’t let them sit in your inventory doing nothing! You can head to Pawt Purvanna to upgrade your spells using crystals and your gear using gold, but keep some cash in reserve. There’s no point spending it all to upgrade a gun only to find an even better weapon in a treasure chest!
