Space-suit up for this formally fun reimagining of a former gaming classic. Metroid Prime Remastered puts you in the armoured space boots of Iron Ma’am, uh, Samus Aran. A blaring distress signal makes Aran a-ran away from an exploding space station. All of her neat powers have reset. This Tallon IV planet is heavy with lots of critters with talons, and now Samus’ big-bad Meta Ridley is on the loose. Not a great start to this space vacay! It ain’t no holiday, but it sure is fun. We love the linked regions of Tallon IV. Like a legendary Link adventure, nab the greatest gear to fully explore this wonderfully weird world. Metroid Prime Remastered drifts between a lot of our gameplay faves. Like, one moment you’re blasting waves of creepy critters. Next, you’re platforming. Then you’re cracking puzzles. Chuck in loads of unlocks, and now you’re primed to dig up every tucked-away secret!
PRO TIP!
Metroid Prime Remastered is at its most fun when you’re blasting, but totes take a moment to scan absolutely everything. Scanning baddies the first time you fight ’em reveals weak spots. Scanning also opens secrets! Plus, hidden rooms and stacks of sweet story stuff. If you’ve already scanned something, it’ll just pop up the intel instead.
