Eiffel Tower Trick!
Back in 1986, The Parisian newspaper left thousands of French citizens pranked and cranky, when it reported that the Eiffel Tower was to be dismantled and then reconstructed at the Euro Disney theme park. Causing further fury, the newspaper also reported that a 35,000 seat stadium would be built in the sizeable space for the 1992 Olympic Games.
