JUST JUMP
Stray features a cat, so natch there’s jumping. Unlike IRL cats, you can’t jump anywhere. Handily, you’ll only make jumps that offer a jump prompt button (X on PlayStation). For multi-jump platforming, hold jump to chain leaps together. Keep an eye out for prompts to keep your puss protagonist safe!
SWEET SHORTCUTS
After the tutorial, navigation in Stray gets a wee bit hairy. Stuck? Keep an eye out for guiding tassels. Like, a ribbon fluttering on a fan. This means you can go that way! Plus, look out for window shades. Scratch these shades to snap open sweet shortcuts.
LASER MANAGEMENT
Robo-bud B12’s laser upgrade is super handy for zapping pesky Zurks. If you keep zapping, it takes about five seconds to cool off. That’s a long time! Instead, zap up until the end of the laser meter. Stop blasting. Give it a sec to recharge, and get back to lasering.
CAT CODES
There are a few locked things in Stray that need codes. The first is for a door in The Flat. Try 3748. Use 1283 for the alley safe in The Slums. Plus, 2511 opens the Secret Lab in The Slums. Finally, the safe in the Midtown shop unlocks with 8592!
