KZ: Hi Harry! How did you become a host on Good Game Spawn Point?

H: I joined the ABC Gamer team in 2022, hosting a gaming news show. I’ve been a stand-up comedian for a couple years and have always loved making comedy sketches. In 2023 I was asked to co-host Ask SP with Gem, and went on to join GGSP as a main cast member for the special episodes. The process of becoming a host was a little daunting because I didn’t know how I’d be received, but luckily people have been super nice!

KZ: Any Easter eggs on set that you could point out for K-Zoners?

H: There are a couple of cameos from old friends of the show including old hosts, and even some Spawn Squad Spawnlings!

KZ: Do you have a favourite episode in Season 15?

H: Episode 5: The Ridiculous RPG Quest. Everything from the writing, costumes, props, lighting and effects ripped so hard. A huge thank you to everyone on the crew for making the show look so good!

KZ: Favourite game of all time?

H: I love me a beat-em-up game and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is one of the best out there. I only just realised that one of the first games I ever played was also TMNT. Life is weird like that!

KZ: Worst game to live in?

H: Overcooked. It’s like being a chef but your kitchen is flying down white-water rapids or floating on a balloon ship thing!

KZ: What are your top games of 2024 so far, and why?

1. Animal Well: It's an indie puzzle platformer that quietly draws you in. Highly recommend it!It’s a little eerie and dark, but also has a quirky sense of humour. I’ve always loved playing the old school Metroid games, and Animal Well keeps that Metroidvania genre going in 2024!

2. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: I loved this game when it first came out on the GameCube, and playing the remastered, revamped, refreshed version is so much fun.

3. Berserk Boy: I was a huge fan of Mega Man growing up and Berserk Boy reminds me of the best parts – cool weapons, fun platforming elements, and fun bosses. Give it a crack!

THE GOOD GAME SPAWN POINT HOST MOST LIKELY TO…

Secretly have superpowers: I was gonna say Screen Goblin but it’s not very secret. He has special Goblin Magic Powers! Probably Gem, because she’d be better than me at keeping her superpowers a secret.

Compete at the Olympic Games: Screen Goblin. He has so many hidden talents. He’s technically a multi-dimensional being so I imagine he’s probably already won gold, silver, and bronze in one of many parallel universe Olympic Games.

Suddenly start dancing: All of us! We love a good boogie.
